Air/Oil Separator Filters | Clean and Efficient Air Solutions

Superior Separation in Compressor Systems

"Keep your compressed air clean and your oil within the system."

In screw air compressors, separating the oil within the compressed air is of critical importance. A low-quality separator causes oil carryover into the air line and increases oil consumption. micronic Filter air/oil separators provide energy savings by operating with low differential pressure and reduce the oil content (ppm) in the outlet air to minimum levels.

Deep-Fit (Immersed) Type Air/Oil Separator Filters

Mounted inside the compressor’s oil tank, these models provide deep-bed filtration. Thanks to specialized winding technology and fiber structure, they enhance compressed air quality while safely grounding static electricity to prevent fire risks.

Spin-On Air/Oil Separator Filters

Used as externally mounted units on small and medium-scale compressors, these filters provide ease of maintenance. Their quick-change structure significantly shortens service time. With high pressure resistance and specialized sealing gaskets, they offer reliable performance even under harsh operating conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

micronic depth-type separator elements are designed to withstand a differential pressure of at least 5 bar (0.5 MPa). This ensures safe operation in high-pressure compressor systems.
At nominal flow rates and a working pressure of 7 bar, micronic separator elements reduce the residual oil content to between 1–3 mg/m³. This ensures high-efficiency oil separation performance.

Nominal flow rates according to the product group:

  • Standard wrap elements: 1–42 m³/min
  • Depth separator elements: 1–46 m³/min
  • Air/oil separator boxes: 1–6 m³/min
  • Air/oil separator filters: 1–16.5 m³/min
  • Separators for vacuum pumps: 0.1–3.6 m³/min
Depth separator elements function correctly only when there are no leaks between the wet and dry sides. The air flow must be directed to prevent the air-oil mixture from directly impacting the element surface.
Service life depends on the cleanliness of the oil, the quality of the compressor oil, and the performance of the air filter. In a well-maintained system, a service life of several thousand hours can be achieved.
At nominal flow rates and 7 bar working pressure with a new element, the pressure drop is approximately 0.2 bar (20 kPa). If higher resistance is permitted, the flow rate can be increased by up to 50% without performance loss.
